PHYSIOLOGY

Physiology research covers both animal and plant physiology. The impact of environmental factors including climate change on plant growth, physiological, biochemical, metabolites and molecular level are studied. This field contributes to agricultural practices, agro-technology, toxicology assessment, phytopharmaceutical and nutraceutical efficacy, pharmacogenomics, and toxicogenomics. Animal physiology includes molecular, behavioural, nutritional, neuron and stress physiology. Investigations are focused on the understanding of organ, system functions, morphological adaptation, response to stimulus and the environment. Study on the function, metabolism, regulatory control in animal, human being and livestock, metabolomics, nutrigenomics and lipidomics has also been conducted.
