Postgraduate Programme

The Faculty offers two postgraduate programmes:

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
• Master of Science (MSc)
• Master in Analytical Chemistry (Coursework)

MASTER OF SCIENCE AND DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

The Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes are designed to give the candidates a strong background in fundamental science by coursework and in-depth study of a specific research problem. The minimum credit requirement for the Master of Science programme is 9 while for the Doctor of Philosophy programme is 12. Royal Society of Chemistry Accredited Master in Analytical Chemistry Program is also offered here. Candidates for the degree of Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy shall pursue a course of research under the direct supervision of academic staff in the Faculty. He must present a thesis on a topic related to his field of study which shall embody the results of original research and must give evidence of a high level of scholarship.
