(iii) PROGRAM PUTRA SCIENTIST GEN Z

Each year, the Chemistry Student Club, Faculty of Science will conduct an outreach program with selected school students. Just like in previous years, the outreach program named as Putra Scientist Gen Z Program was successfully conducted with Form 4 and 5 students of SMK Aminuddin Baki, Kuala Lumpur on 29 May 2021. Uniquely this year, the program was implemented entirely online due to the pandemic situation that hit the country and limited physical activity.

Typically, activities such as explorace and experimental demonstrations will be conducted to fill the tentative outreach program. Although the program is conducted online, it does not detract from the objective of the program to provide exposure and instill interest in science in the students to be achieved. Various training activities in the group were successfully implemented during the Putra Scientist Gen Z Program. Among them are Avengers vs Scientist, Find Me If You Can, Hang or Safe? and Bingo Bash. These activities have the concept of a quiz game where students have to solve each question for each activity slot with other group members in their respective zoom breakout room. There are several facilitators in each breakout room to ensure the program runs smoothly and can interact more closely with students. All training activities in this group are implemented using different game procedures to ensure that students can learn while playing more fun.
