
Photo Session of UPM-FAHLA Medical Physics Level 1 Course: Seminar on Advanced Medical Imaging and Instrumentations
On 24th June 2025, the UPM-FAHLA Medical Physics Level 1 Course: Seminar on Advanced Medical Imaging and Instrumentations was successfully held at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, Level 3, Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This event was part of an educational initiative under the Centre for Advanced Medical Physics, Faculty of Science, in collaboration with FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
The seminar commenced at 8:00 a.m. with participant registration, followed by an opening speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Azwady Abd. Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Science. Bringing together researchers, academicians, postgraduate students and industry representatives, the seminar served as a vital platform to share insights and updates in advanced medical imaging and instrumentation.
Key highlights of the programme included a presentation by Mr. Mohd Esnu Khalidi Abd Halim, Head of Marketing, FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., titled “Advanced Medical Technology” and “Synapse 3D for Research”, which showcased cutting-edge innovations in healthcare technology. A series of technical presentations by postgraduate researchers, covering essential topics such as medical dosimetry, therapeutic imaging, radiomics, biomarkers, functional imaging, and biophysics. In addition, a keynote by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah, Senior Lecturer, Department of Physics, UPM, who spoke on “Utilisation of Nanomaterials for Targeted Drug Delivery: Imaging and Instrumentation Insights”.
The seminar also featured project showcases, interactive networking sessions, and an award presentation ceremony to honour notable contributors. The event concluded with closing remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalis Abdul Karim, Director of the Seminar, and a group photography session.
This seminar not only provided participants with exposure to the latest advancements in medical imaging but also strengthened ties between academia and the healthcare industry. Congratulations to all who contributed to the success of this impactful event.
