
Photo Session of Workshop Mastering Materials Characterization: Highscore XRD Analysis, Particle Sizing & Zeta Potential
SERDANG, 11 June 2026 – The Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised the Workshop Mastering Materials Characterization: Highscore XRD Analysis, Particle Sizing & Zeta Potential, a two-day programme held from 10 to 11 June 2026 at Bilik Saintis Gemilang, Faculty of Science, UPM.
The workshop brought together academics, researchers, students and industry practitioners to strengthen their knowledge and skills in modern materials characterisation techniques. Key topics covered included the fundamentals and applications of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), the use of X'Pert HighScore Plus software, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Electrophoretic Light Scattering (ELS), particle sizing, and zeta potential analysis.
The programme featured a series of presentations by experts from UPM and DKSH Technology, covering subjects such as data analysis, interface chemistry, sample troubleshooting, and practical applications of these technologies in both research and industry. Participants also took part in hands-on sessions, providing them with valuable opportunities to apply their knowledge directly using specialised instruments and software.
The workshop served as a valuable platform for enhancing participants’ competencies in materials characterisation while fostering stronger collaboration between academia and industry.
