Permatang Pauh, 13 November - Congratulations to the group 3+1=4.00, consisting of Chua Hui Qi, Lee Tung, Sam Jie Ting, and Jess Ho Jia Qian, students from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, for their outstanding achievement in the MDIT X DOSM Datathon 2024! They successfully navigated the challenges and fully committed themselves to producing a study titled “Charging the Future: Electric Vehicles in Malaysia,” which also addressed SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
Their journey was not easy, starting with early planning that was modified to ensure the appropriate data was obtained, followed by the development of a Power BI dashboard and the preparation of the final report. After overcoming various challenges, they were selected from 80 teams across the country to advance to the final stage and pitch their project at UITM Penang.
Armed with high spirits and relentless effort, the group ultimately secured third place in the competition, winning a cash prize of RM1500 and a certificate of appreciation. This success is sure to inspire other students to take on challenges and innovate in future events. Congratulations once again to the 3+1=4.00 team and all those involved in making this achievement possible! May more successes follow in the future.
