Introduction

 Physics UPM

One of the goals of the Department of Physics is to produce competent graduates ready for the job market or to pursue related postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate programmes are:

1) Bachelor of Science (Honours) Physics 
2) Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Instrumentation Science
3) Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Materials Science
4) Bachelor of Science (Honours) Physics with Education

The Department also offers postgraduate and postdoctoral programmes in a wide range of research areas including:

1) Applied Optics
2) Applied Radiation
3) Magnetic Materials
4) Materials Science
5) Microwave
6) Nano Materials
7) Quantum Physics
8) Complex Networks
9) Computation Physics
10) Theoretical Physics
11) Ultrasonic
12) Superconductor
13) Sensor dan Instrumentation

The department also has state-of-the-art research facilities including:

1) ellipsometer
2) UV-visible spectrophotometer
4) RF magnetron sputtering system
5) X-ray Diffraction (XRD)
6) Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) 

Currently the Department has 50 experienced and dedicated members including 4 professors, 7 associate professors, 20 senior lecturers, and 10 supporting staffs.
