Master With Thesis

The Master of Science (MS) program is designed to equip candidates with a solid foundational knowledge in the field of science through coursework and in-depth research on specific research problems. MS candidates are required to undertake research courses under the supervision of academic staff in the faculty. Candidates must present a thesis related to their field of study, incorporating original research findings and demonstrating a high level of scholarship.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MASTER (WITH THESIS)

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.750, or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate;
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a CGPA between 2.500 and 2.749, or equivalent, may be accepted subject to a rigorous internal evaluation by the Faculty/School/Institute;
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a CGPA between 2.000 and 2.499 may be accepted subject to:
    • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a related field; AND
    • A rigorous internal evaluation by the Faculty/School/Institute.

  • Research & Academia

    • Work as a researcher in universities, research institutes (R&D), or government and private laboratories.

    • Opportunity to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) upon completion of the Master’s programme.

    • Eligible to serve as a university lecturer or college/institution instructor, either after obtaining a PhD or with a Master’s degree (depending on institutional requirements).
