SCiPA organized this event to introduce its roles and functions as an active student body that serves as a platform for postgraduate students to voice their views. This program also aims to encourage capable postgraduate students to take up leadership positions within the association.




SCiPA held this session to provide postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science an opportunity to engage in an introductory meeting with the Deputy Dean (Research & Postgraduate Studies). Through this session, students were able to interact directly and raise questions related to research activities within the Faculty of Science. Additionally, the program served to strengthen relationships among postgraduate students from various departments—Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and Statistics.




SCiPA organized a logo design competition open to all students and staff of the Faculty of Science, UPM. This competition provided an opportunity for both students and staff to showcase their creativity in producing an iconic logo.




SCiPA extended its support to two participants representing Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in the 3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) Competition. This support served as an encouragement for postgraduate students who are actively involved in research and scholarly communication. Through this competition, participants were able to sharpen their ability to present research ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively to a general audience.






The SCiPA Food Conference adopted a “potluck” concept, where each attendee brings a dish to be shared with all participants. This informal gathering aimed to strengthen camaraderie among postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science in a friendly and harmonious environment.



SCiPA also organized a recreational sports activity—badminton sessions—with postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science at CPS Serdang Badminton Sports Centre. The activity aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle among postgraduate students while providing a platform to relieve academic stress. Additionally, it fostered teamwork and strengthened connections among students from different departments within the Faculty of Science in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.




SCiPA also organized the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Bio-UPM Postgraduate Students’ Club 2024/2025 to mark the official establishment of the postgraduate association within the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, UPM. The meeting aimed to introduce the club’s organizational structure, appoint committee members, and plan activities for the upcoming academic session. Furthermore, this AGM served as a platform to strengthen communication networks between Biology postgraduate students and the faculty, supporting efforts to empower the postgraduate community of the Faculty of Science.
