SERDANG, 8 October 2025 – A total of 481 new students from the Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia, attended the Hari Penerangan programme held this morning at the Dewan Besar, Pusat Kesenian dan Kebudayaan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

The programme began at 8:00 a.m. and continued until 1:00 p.m., followed by the sessions with the department in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at designated locations.

In his officiating speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Science emphasized the importance of integrity and honesty in seeking knowledge as the foundation for academic and personal excellence. He also wished all new students’ success and prayed that they remain steadfast and find ease in facing the challenges of higher education.
Hari Penerangan programme served to expose students to the academic programme structure, faculty facilities, and personal development opportunities offered throughout their studies.

The sessions with the department activity in the afternoon provided students the opportunity to engage more closely with lecturers and academic officers in their respective departments, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of their academic direction.

This annual programme is seen as one of the faculty’s initiatives to strengthen students’ identity and to cultivate a healthy academic culture from the very first day of university life.
