AI MATH LEARNING PROGRAM SPARKS INTEREST IN TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION

Serdang, 24 May 2025 – The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with Koperasi ASAS Selangor (Ko-ASAS), successfully organized the AI Math Learning Program at the Al-Khaitam Computer Lab, Faculty of Science, UPM.

The program, which took place from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, aimed to introduce participants to AI-based methods of learning Mathematics, while also enhancing their interest and understanding of the subject through the use of modern technological approaches. The participants consisted of secondary school students from the Klang Valley.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations on how AI can be used to solve mathematical problems. This forward-thinking approach encouraged students to explore the intersection of mathematics and emerging technologies, fostering a deeper appreciation for STEM education.

The program reflects the Department's commitment to adopting dynamic teaching and learning strategies in line with the advancements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).

The collaboration with Ko-ASAS also added value by strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and cooperative organizations involved in developing technology-driven human capital.
