Highlights of Innocreative Technology Challenges (ICTC) 3.0

SERDANG, 27 November 2025 – The Innocreative Technology Challenges (ICTC) 3.0 2025 successfully concluded at Dewan Sri Harmoni, Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail, Universiti Putra Malaysia, bringing together young innovators from primary and secondary schools to showcase ideas under the theme “Bridging Materials and Digital Innovation.”

Dr. Nur Biha Mohamed Nafis, Director of ICTC 3.0, then delivered her welcoming remarks, emphasising the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in shaping the future generation. Her speech was followed by the officiating address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muskhazli Mustafa, Deputy Dean (Development & Networking) of the Faculty of Science, UPM. In his address, he highlighted the role of STEM education in national development and reaffirmed UPM’s dedication to providing platforms such as ICTC to cultivate talent and innovation literacy among youth. The opening ceremony concluded with a briefing on the competition format, judging criteria, and the flow of the day’s sessions.

The participants showcased their innovation which ranging from material-based inventions, digital technology prototypes, creative problem-solving concepts, and sustainability-inspired ideas. Panels of experienced judges carefully evaluated each project based on creativity, feasibility, innovation value, clarity of presentation and alignment with the theme. This session also allowed students to receive constructive feedback, enabling them to reflect on their ideas and further refine their approach to innovation. Many teachers accompanying the teams expressed appreciation for the exposure and real-world learning opportunity ICTC provided.

After the lunch break, the closing ceremony began, where anticipation filled the hall as the winners were announced. Outstanding teams received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, along with Certificates of Appreciation. Applause and cheers filled Dewan Sri Harmoni as the achievements of participants were recognized, not only for their winning projects but for their courage in exploring new ideas, outstanding creativity and to be able to work collaboratively.

ICTC 3.0 continues to serve as an impactful platform that encourages creativity, strengthens STEM exposure, and inspires young minds to pursue future pathways in science, technology, and innovation.
