On 30th October 2024, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) proudly hosted the 10th session in its "Syarahan Umum Fizik" series, which this time is a special sabbatical sharing session focused on Sustainable Catalysis: Hydrogen Production and Wastewater Treatment Insights from My Sabbatical. Held in Lecture Room 304, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, UPM, this event offered a unique opportunity for attendees to gain insight into cutting-edge sustainable research. The session, running from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, attracted academic staff, researchers, and students who were keen to explore new advancements in the field of environmental sustainability.

 

 

Sabbatial sharing session from Associate Professor Dr. Suriati Paiman

 

The event featured Associate Professor Dr. Suriati Paiman, who is also a physics lecturer at UPM, as the main speaker. Dr. Suriati shared her in-depth knowledge and research findings from her sabbatical, focusing on sustainable catalysis, particularly in the context of hydrogen production and wastewater treatment. She detailed the importance of catalysis in sustainable development, explaining how her work contributes to cleaner and more efficient energy production and waste management solutions.

This sabbatical sharing session served as an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, inspiring participants in the fields of research and education.
