Photo Session of Syarahan Umum Jabatan Fizik Series 5/2026

The Syarahan Umum Jabatan Fizik Series 5/2026 was successfully held on 13 May 2026 at Bilik Kuliah 304, Department of Physics, and was also broadcast live via Facebook Live.

The programme featured a sharing session by Dr Loh Zhi Wei, Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia, through a lecture entitled “Advancing Dental Glass Materials through International Research Collaboration: Insights from a Research Attachment in Türkiye.”

The lecture highlighted research outcomes obtained during an international research attachment at Dokuz Eylül University, Türkiye, focusing on the development of glass-based dental materials. The session also discussed advancements in restorative dental materials, particularly glass ionomer cements, as well as the importance of international research collaboration in strengthening academic networks and driving research innovation.

The Department of Physics would like to express its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr Loh Zhi Wei for the insightful and valuable sharing session, as well as to all participants who attended and followed the session both physically and online.

It is hoped that programmes such as this will continue to serve as a platform for knowledge sharing while fostering a stronger culture of research and international collaboration among the academic community.
