Serdang, 30 January - Mathematical Sciences and Statistics Seminar 2026, held from 26 to 28 January 2026 and organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the Department of Mathematics and Statistics UPM, successfully brought together students and academics on a platform for knowledge sharing and research dissemination.

The first day began with presentations by postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) students, followed by a plenary lecture delivered by Prof. Boumediene Chentouf from Kuwait University, enriching scholarly discussions in mathematics and statistics. The second day featured Final Year Project presentations by undergraduate students, including participation from Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), Indonesia, further strengthening international academic collaboration.

On the third day, presentation sessions continued with participation from undergraduate students of UPM and UNHAS. The seminar also featured a keynote address by Mohd Fazlin Zainal Abidin from Manjaku Retail Sdn. Bhd., aligned with the theme “Mathematics and Statistics in Data-Driven Intelligence.” The event concluded with a closing ceremony that included the presentation of the Best Presenter Awards and recognition of all participants.

Overall, the seminar successfully achieved its objectives as a platform for academic exchange, strengthened international collaboration, and fostered a research culture among students.
