Serdang, March 10 – The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, UPM organized a seminar on February 6, 2025, titled “Growing Polyharmonic Functions and Phragmen-Lindelof Type Theorems.” The seminar was held at the Al-Khawarizmi Seminar Room, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and was presented by Ms. Jurayeva Umidakhon from Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of growing polyharmonic functions and the related Phragmen-Lindelof type theorems. Polyharmonic functions are a branch of mathematical analysis that studies functions satisfying polyharmonic equations and have numerous applications in various fields such as mathematical physics and potential theory. The speaker also discussed several Phragmen-Lindelof theorems, which are frequently used to analyze the properties of functions in unbounded domains.
The seminar was well-received, with a strong turnout from students, researchers, and professionals interested in the field of mathematical analysis. It is hoped that the seminar provided participants with a deeper understanding of the topic and opened up opportunities for future research collaborations in the field.
