Serdang, July 10, 2024 — The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully organized a seminar this July. The event was scheduled for July 10, 2024 (Wednesday) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The seminar was held at the Al-Khawarizmi Seminar Room, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, UPM.

The speaker for the seminar was Dr. Yow Kai Siong, who presented a topic titled "Resource Optimisation in Big Graph Computations Using Multi-Core Machines." In this seminar, Dr. Yow discussed techniques and strategies for optimizing resources in big graph computations using multi-core machines, which is a significant topic in modern computing. This sharing session was based on Dr. Yow's research during his postdoctoral training at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, over a period of 2 years.

The seminar was attended by department members and staff interested in the field of graph computation and resource optimization. Congratulations and commendations to Dr. Yow Kai Siong, and it is hoped that this session successfully contributes new insights into this STEM-based research field.
