Port Klang, 25 May 2025 – The Chemistry Students’ Club of the Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organized the program Tinta Kasih 8.0: Serving The People About Beauty of Science at the Baitul Sakinah As-Shariff Orphanage in Port Klang, Selangor. This community service initiative aimed to share the beauty and importance of science with the younger generation, especially orphans and the local community.
A total of 32 committee members and 55 participants took part in making the program a success, including 13 orphans and several children from the surrounding community. Various activities were held throughout the event, including fun hands-on science experiments and a science-themed explorace that emphasized teamwork. The committee members also took part in a communal cooking session to prepare lunch for all attendees, fostering a spirit of unity and volunteerism.
The program received sponsorship from Adabi, Yayasan DIY, and Klinik Dr. Alyna, who contributed goods and basic healthcare services. The cooperation from sponsors was greatly appreciated and played a key role in the smooth and successful execution of the event. According to the program director, this effort not only reflects the students’ concern for the community but also proves that science can be appreciated in a simple, interactive, and heartfelt way.
