Nilai, 20^th December 2023 - Two innovation projects by a group of lecturers and students from Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully clinched silver and bronze medals at the Science and Technology Research Expo, held at USIM, Nilai, recently.

The first project named 'Cellula Solaris' won the silver medal, highlighting the excellence and usability of the innovative product. 'Cellula Solaris' has revolutionized the field of solar energy by presenting a unique and efficient approach to generating energy from the sun. This success marks the outstanding achievement of the UPM research team in contributing to the development of green energy technology.

Meanwhile, the second project named 'Altilium' also received recognition by winning the bronze medal. Under the guidance and advice of experienced lecturer, Dr. Saiful Asmal, 'Altilium' demonstrated excellence in specific areas that have a positive impact on the advancement of science and technology. This product garnered attention with its innovative usage and ability to provide solutions to several problems faced by society.

The success of 'Cellula Solaris' and 'Altilium' at SCITEX 2023 proves that UPM continues to play a significant role in driving the development of science and technology in Malaysia. Both of these innovative products demonstrate UPM's commitment to promoting knowledge and innovation among students and lecturers, making the university a center of excellence in research in the country. With this achievement, UPM hopes that institutes of higher learning will continue to serve as platforms for the academic community to develop ideas and innovative projects that can have a significant impact on technological advancement and sustainable development.
