Photo Session of UPM-FAHLA Asia Pacific Medical Physics Level 1 and Level 2 programme
Serdang, 27-28 March 2026 - The UPM-FAHLA Asia Pacific Medical Physics Level 1 and Level 2 programme was successfully held on 27-28 March 2026 at Universiti Putra Malaysia. The two-day programme brought together experts, lecturers, medical officers, and medical physics practitioners from various institutions to share knowledge and recent developments in the field of medical physics and medical imaging.
Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to various important topics including digital radiography systems, general radiography dosimetry, advanced medical imaging, radiation safety, image quality optimisation, and advanced dosimetry applications. The Level 2 programme also focused on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in tuberculosis detection, active case finding, radiography in primary healthcare, and the implementation of rural and remote screening programmes.
The programme was further enlivened by the celebration of three years of collaboration between UPM and Fujifilm, marking a significant milestone in strategic collaboration in the field of medical physics and medical imaging in the Asia Pacific region.
The programme concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony and closing remarks. It is hoped that programmes like this will continue in the future to strengthen collaboration and enhance knowledge and skills in the field of medical physics.
