Faculty of Science Laboratory Management Office

The Faculty of Science Laboratory Management Office was established in July 2024 as a strategic initiative to strengthen the centralized laboratory management system. The establishment of this office aims to enhance the efficiency of laboratory operations in supporting teaching, research, and service activities comprehensively and effectively.

Establishment Objectives

This office serves as the main coordinating entity to ensure laboratory services are carried out systematically, safely, and in line with the current needs of the faculty. This centralized approach allows for more efficient and integrated management of laboratory resources and infrastructure.

Core Functions

  • The Laboratory Management Office is responsible for carrying out the following functions:
  • Coordinating the centralized procurement of raw materials for teaching and learning purposes.
  • Managing the procurement of laboratory equipment and requirements for teaching purposes.
  • Handling applications and monitoring RU Funds for the maintenance, repair, and calibration needs of research equipment.
  • Coordinating RMK (Rolling Plan) applications and managing supply procurement.
  • Managing and coordinating visits related to laboratory management and safety.
  • Planning and implementing competency development programs and training for Scheme C staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health aspects in all faculty laboratories.
