The Department of Chemistry, Universiti Putra Malaysia offers four programmes at the undergraduate level: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Honours, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry with Honours, Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Chemistry with Honours and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Education (Honours). The department received a prestigious accreditation from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) United Kingdom for three of the four programmes on January the 5th 2016, which are the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Honours, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry with Honours and Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Chemistry with Honours. This makes the three programmes at the Department of Chemistry internationally recognized. In addition, the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Education (Honours) has been designed with details that it is able to attracts many students to join the programme every year. The programmes are reviewed every 5 years to ensure that the curriculum are up to date with the current developments in the field of chemistry. Details about the four programmes can be found below.
